The base of the Machin settings gauge is calibrated in cm, subdivided into mm then into tenths of mm. The 10x magnification is adjusted to your eye by a serrated ring. This is a very accurate and useful magnifier which is ideal for studying phosphor screens or measuring value settings on machin stamps. A must have for the serious Machin collector.
